3 Things to Do Differently this Year To Achieve Your Goals

Are you ready to start the New Year fresh and let go of all the baggage that got in your way or made you feel stuck and limited this past year?

Most times people don’t achieve their goals or new year’s resolutions not because they just give up, but because they do not have a strong enough vision to get them through all the distractions, obstacles, and frankly their excuses — and their mindset is not trained to create the energy to make it happen.

I always say don’t even bother to set a goal or a new year’s resolution that is not really really important to you!  It’s more frustrating and depleting not to achieve a goal,  because not achieving will \make you feel worse, it’s going to condition your mind to be complacent, and create patterns that reinforce that you can’t achieve what you want.

So this year, be the change you want and do things differently.  Learn the most important skill that activates your superpower to achieve:  Mastering Your Mind: This is the secret weapon that enables you to achieve anything when mastered.  It can create an empowering inner world that can help you overcome all challenges, conquer how you view your future, your past, and your present so that nothing is a block or an excuse.

So instead of pushing to achieve your goal, practice mastering your mind to create an empowering inner world, and get really good at living your life through these 3 key powerful lenses:  The empowering lenses of FOCUS, MEANING and PRESENCE

1. FOCUS Your Vision to Always See a Bright Future

What you focus on is what you feel and experience.. It’s what creates your vision and your reality.  It’s where your energy comes from. Your entire life is controlled by what you focus on.  Learn to only focus on what you want, know the deeper emotional reason why you want it and why it is important to you.  Find a purpose for the vision you want and how you can contribute to others. Start small by just focusing on wanting to feel good for the moment and the day.  Set your intention each day and stay focused on possibilities, q bright future and about things you can control.

The default way

The natural human state for most people is to focus more on what’s missing, what’s wrong, or what’s scary because the human brain when untrained tends to look for threats, risks, and problems.  That’s how we are hardwired after millions of years of conditioning so we can stay alert to threats that help keep us alive and functioning in this world.  That’s why it is the default way of thinking. To change it, requires being aware on what you focus on and and consciously changing it when your focus is not serving you  That’s how you can accelerate your growth and improve the quality of your life daily, especially in today’s fast paced environment when there is so much exposure to information that can contribute to the stress in people’s lives.

A new way forward

To break that pattern, you have to  reengineer your mind and train it to focus on the light and the expansive possibilities vs. on problems, fear or constraints.  When you open your mind to see opportunities, possibilities, and abundance, your intuition opens up which then allows you to see things that start appearing to help you move your vision forward.

This is most important in the midst of difficulties because with stress, setbacks, or problems, the mind defaults to the patterns of threat and survival and blocks us with the lower heavy energy that gets in the way of  our intuitive intelligence.

This is a constant exercise that requires you to first become aware of your pattern and intervening to break it when you know it is not serving you. It will require you to be consciously attentive until you train your mind to develop a new thinking habit and pattern.  This process will remain a battle until you change the conditioning and the wiring of your mind. Once you do that it will then be automatic and much more natural and easy to focus on. This will help you thrive to achieve more extraordinary things vs. just survive doing the conditioned ordinary things you keep repeating everyday.

2. Shift your Perspective to find new MEANING

Meaning is how you interpret a circumstance, an event, a feeling or a thought from the past or future.   Two people can go through the same exact situation but can see it and experience it completely different depending on the meaning they give it.  That meaning creates emotion and emotion creates energy.  Emotion and energy come from your focus and meaning

The default way

The natural human state is for people to blame, complain, or feel pain because of  the meaning they put on a situation  …  They  attach emotions to situations that then become emotional triggers that create reactions or paralyze people from moving forward and become a habitual thinking pattern that the mind keeps repeating causing more emotional turbulence that the mind then activates by piling and repeating stories, worries, and predictions.

A new way forward

But it doesn’t have to be that way.  We do not have to succumb to these negative throughs and emotions.   We can intervene,  give new meaning, shift perspective, reframe how we think and empower ourselves with new ways to see things.

There is never only one way to see things unless you box yourself into one.  There are endless other ways and certainly more empowering ways to power up your mind with new perspectives –  When you change your meaning, your interpretation, your perspective and/or the lens you view your past, present, future, outcomes, challenges, success, or your identity, you have won 90% of the battle.  Nothing changes on the outside, but everything changes and opens up on the inside to free you up and to allow you to see a brighter, more promising world.

3.  Practice Daily PRESENCE and Tap into a Deeper Power

Being present means accepting what is, letting go of  what was or what could be, and trusting in what may come, regardless of circumstance.  So how do we do that?  People have asked me how can I, and how do I, accept what is when it’s not what I want or  when it’s depleting me or taken away all my joy)

The default way

The natural human state is for people is to think about the past or the future and to skip over the joy and gratitude of the present.   This manifests into behaviors that turn into complaining, blaming, worrying, or feeling down because of  the meaning they put on a situation that happened or one that they are concerned may happen.

A new way forward

But practicing daily presence is recognizing that the past is history and the future has not happened yet.     The truth is we only have the present, That is our gift. But most people tend to take it for granted.   But when you learn to live in the moment, be grateful for all you have. live your life like everything is possible, your presence changes. You become grounded and more confident,  Your energy radiates at a higher frequency. You become calm and trusting about how things are unfolding without any anxiety and how life could unfold.

Achieve Your Goals this Year in an Easier and More Empowering Way

All three of these new ways will help you elevate your energy.  And your energy is what determines your quality of life . The higher your energy, the more in touch you will be with your intuition, heart and soul. When your intuition, heart and soul are engaged you see more, you feel better, and you create an environment where energy becomes the life force to help you achieve what you want.

This year, change your perspective about goal setting and achievement by adopting these three new perspectives and allow yourself to open up, observe, and invite new things to come into your life without pushing, but rather by attracting throughout your energy and watch how new things unfold.
